Highlight specifications
The lightest longtail on the market.
Veloe® multi and multi lungo are defined to 26 kg (including battery, excl. accessories)
This remarkable low total weight is an achievement by using Chro-mo steel and engineering and design priorities.
The low weight comes from smart Chro-mo steel design and carefully chosen components that balance strength and lightness. This makes the bike easier to handle, park, carry, and ride with better responsiveness.
Steel is durable.
Veloe® multi and multi lungo bikes use Chro-mo steel, valued for its strength, flexibility, and durability. It absorbs vibrations for a smoother ride—especially with cargo or rough roads—and resists fatigue over time. It’s also repairable, making it a long-lasting, more sustainable choice.
Gears
Veloe® multi and multi lungo bikes can be customized with different gearing systems to match your riding style. You can choose the Shimano Nexus 5 for simple, low-maintenance city riding, the Enviolo HD or Enviolo Q for smooth, stepless shifting under load, or the 3X3 NINE Gear for maximum range and performance.
This flexibility ensures each bike can be tailored for anything from daily commuting to heavy cargo use, while maintaining comfort and reliability.
Transmission
Veloe® multi and multi lungo bikes offer a choice between two transmission systems: a traditional chain drive or a belt drive. A chain is a proven, efficient option that’s easy to service and well suited for versatile everyday use. A belt drive, on the other hand, is clean, quiet, and requires minimal maintenance, making it ideal for riders who prefer a smoother and low-maintenance experience.
By offering both options, Veloe allows you to choose the setup that best fits your riding habits and maintenance preferences.
Hydraulic brakes
Veloe® multi and multi lungo are equipped with high-quality 2-piston brakes, providing reliable and consistent stopping power in all conditions. This setup ensures controlled braking, whether you’re riding unloaded or carrying extra weight, while maintaining a smooth and predictable feel at the lever. The result is greater confidence and safety in everyday use.
Removable battery
On both the Veloe® multi and multi lungo, whether equipped with Shimano or Bosch systems, the battery is removable and can be charged anywhere. This gives you full flexibility to charge it at home, at work, or wherever it suits your routine.
Low step-through frame design
All Veloe® multi and multi lungo models feature a low step frame, making it easy to get on and off the bike. This design improves accessibility and comfort for everyday use, especially when riding with cargo or stopping frequently in the city.
Strong tires
Schwalbe Pick-up tires are built for more than just looks, they’re designed for urban riding. They offer strong grip, durability and stability, making daily city rides safer and more reliable.
Colors
Veloe® multi and multi lungo come in standard colors that define their identity, while also offering the full RAL color range. This allows you to choose a look that matches your personal style without compromising on design consistency.
Lifetime Warranty
We offer a lifetime warranty on all frames.
What's the difference between a Bosch and Shimano mid-engine?

Shimano EP6 vs. Bosch Cargoline
It’s not about raw numbers, it’s about how the power is delivered and how the bike feels in real use.
- Shimano EP6 deliver 85 Nm torque and similar peak power
- In practice, they’re equally capable of handling cargo loads.
- Shimano EP6 rides smoother with a more natural support.
- Shimano EP6: more gradual, intuitive power delivery
- Bosch Cargoline rides stronger with more direct push.
- Bosch Cargoline feels more “automatic” and powerful.
What's the difference between a chain and a belt drive?

Choosing between a belt drive and a chain drive for a Veloe multi or multi lungo depends on how you plan to use the bike, how much maintenance you’re willing to do, and the riding conditions you expect.
A belt drive is often praised for its cleanliness and low maintenance. Unlike a traditional chain, it doesn’t require lubrication, so you won’t end up with greasy hands or stains on your clothes. This makes it especially appealing for daily commuting or family use, where convenience matters.
Belt drives are also very quiet and tend to last longer than chains under normal conditions. On a bike like the Veloe multi or multi lungo – often used for transporting kids or cargo that smooth and silent ride can be a real advantage.
A chain drive, on the other hand, is the more traditional and widely used option. It’s generally cheaper and easier to repair or replace, since parts are available almost everywhere. Chains are also more efficient under high loads, which might matter if you frequently carry heavy cargo or ride in hilly areas. That said, they do require regular cleaning and lubrication, especially in wet or muddy conditions, which are common in places like Belgium. Over time, neglecting this maintenance can lead to faster wear and reduced performance.
In practical terms, if you want a hassle-free, low-maintenance experience and mostly ride in urban environments, a belt drive is a strong choice. If you prioritize affordability, easy servicing, and maximum efficiency under load, a chain drive might suit you better.
What's the difference between: Nexus 5, Enviolo and 3X3 NINE Gear?
When choosing a gear system for a Veloe multi or Veloe multi lungo, the differences between a Shimano Nexus 5, Enviolo HD, and 3X3 Nine hub are not just technical—they fundamentally change how the bike feels, especially under load, in city traffic, or on hills.
The Shimano Nexus 5 is a classic internal gear hub designed specifically for e-bikes.
- 5 fixed gears with defined steps
- Built for high torque mid-motors
- Efficient power transfer because it uses traditional geared steps
- Requires some care when shifting
How it feels like …
- Feels direct and mechanical
- Good for urban riding and moderate loads
- Lower gear range than competitors, so less ideal for steep hills or heavy cargo
The Enviolo HD works very differently: it’s a continuously variable transmission.
- Stepless shifting (no fixed gears)
- About ~380% gear range
- Can shift under load and while stationary
- Very smooth and intuitive.
How it feels like …
- Ideal for stop-and-go city riding with cargo or kids
- You don’t think in “gears,” just twist to the right resistance
The 3X3 Nine is a newer, premium internal hub aimed at heavy-duty and cargo use.
- 9 gears with a massive ~554% range
- Handles up to 250 Nm torque
- Shift under load and at standstill
- Completely maintenance-free (sealed, grease-lubricated system)
- Very durable and designed for heavy cargo use
How it feels like …
- Excellent for heavy loads, steep terrain, and long-term reliability
- Combines wide range (like Rohloff-level) with ease of use
- Feels more precise and efficient than Enviolo, but simpler than derailleur systems
